Yes, to an extent. They are good as far as just having them for exercise (walking,working out etc..). If you want to hold a lot of songs I would suggest at least a iPod Nano. If you can't invest a whole lot into an iPod then the shuffle is that way to go. If you don't care about not seeing what you are playing on your iPod then the shuffle would be a complete yes.

I pretty much don't go anywhere without mine, but I got mine from a free offer online - so I don't know if it's a new model or an old one. I keep reading posts that there were problems with the old models however.

If you want to get a fee iPod Shuffle though, go to the site that I went to and you can get one! I simply had to go through and fill out some information and go through all of the screens of surveys and offers. It takes a little time and patience, but if you get through them all, you'll have yourself an iPod Shuffle! I also heard that there was one for the iPhone, but I've just been too busy!!!
