Lol, Okay I Did It & So Did My Ex-Boyfriend. So 1st Make Sure Your Ear(s) & The Needle &/Or Ear Ring Have Both Been Sanitized. Now, Get 2 Pieces Of Ice To Hold On Each Side Of Your Ear. Then, When It's Truely Numb Get Either A Needle Or The Ear Ring You Are Wanting To Wear; I Just Did The Ear Ring NOT The Needle. A Lot Of People Think That's Crazy & Hurts More, But We Both Agree It Was WAY Easier & Less Painful Not To Mention It Saves Steps To Just Put The earing Right In. Again, Just A Reminder, Make Sure You Keep It Clean Not Just Before But DEFINATELY After The Piercing.

This can be very dangerous, especially if you want to pierce anything other than your ear lobe. If it's not done right you can cause sever scaring and it will most likely become infected - which can cause damage to your hearing.
I had a (now ex-) boyfriend piece my ear back in high school. He cleaned a needle with a flame and rubbing alcohol, and swabbed my ear with alcohol as well. I thought I was being safe and I cleaned it twice a day, but a week and a half later my ear swelled up and I had to go to the hospital to have the infection drained. (Really, really gross) The Doctor who drained my ear said I was lucky that the infection didn't spread faster because I probably would have lost my hearing in my left ear.
I defiantly would NOT recommend piercing your ear at home. If you really want it done, go to a professional. Places in your local mall are good for ear lobe piercing, but for any other part of your ear I would suggest a piercing parlor. Just make sure you research the parlor you go to to make sure they're reputable. Ask the parlor for a reference, and if they don't want to give you one DON'T go there.
I know it kinda sounds like I'm lecturing, so I'll stop now. Just be Safe, Okay?

It's safer to have someone do it for you so that you do not end up piercing more than your ear ,it might sound far fetched but you could pierce something else since you would be looking at a mirror image of your self. But if you must do it then why not. To mininmise the pain you need to hold an ice cube to your earlobe, that is the one you want to pierce to "deaden" or numb it then with steady hands pierce the spot selected with the needle. To prevent the spot from healing and closing up you need to wear a stud or an ear ring immediately. Nature you know abhors a vaccuum

I got a safety pin and lit the end on fire (to strealize) and the cleaned it with alcohol. Then I numbed my lobe with an ice cube. I put a cork (from a wine bottle) behind my ear and the safety pin in the front, and pushed it through.

Don't do it!! I did this when I was a kid and now I have a scars on my ear from messing it up. You can easily get it done at any store like Clarie's or even walmart. It's super cheep and it won't hurt as bad if a professional does it.

you can buy a piercing gun and do it like that. otherwise you have to get a lemon and cutips and a needle. that way is harder and more painful. you get the cutip. numb yur ears with the lemon juice. match fire onto the cutip and get the needle and push it through. OUCH

I wouldn't do it at home but i would use a needle and just make sure you sanitize it first. And use alcohol or an ear solution.

It's not safe, I recommend that you get it done outside your home. It works for some people, but it's really not worth the risk. Peace out.
