My period was due in a week but because of a cyst my doctor started me on the pill and she said I would not have a period this month and it would not hurt me to skip it. Start you pills now so that by the time you hubby gets home you will have about 2 weeks worth of pills taken and your chances of becoming pregnant are slim. If you are still worried about getting pregnant use a second form of B/C like the vaginal film which you can put in up to I think 2 hours in advance. If you start your pills now your period will probably come around the middle of April.

I've always heard to start them at the beginning of your cycle, usually the first Sunday after the beginning of your period. It's best to do that because it catches your cycle in just the right place, taking them at the wrong time can throw you off and also make them less effective Starting them on March 27th might cause you to have bleeding and spotting. Right now your best bet would be to call your Dr. for advice. By the way, you could have started the pills and then just continued on a new pack in during the sugar pill week to skip your period, it's fine to skip periods in that way. And you have to go through a full cycle of pills to prevent pregnancy, in other words you can get pregnant during the first month of taking pills so you would have to use a back-up. You aren't protected until your second month of using them. Good Luck.

Ok your on the pill because you dont want to get pregnant!! If you skip a pill to not have them its fine if you dont do it all the time, once is ok it wont hurt you! But if you miss or forget to take the pill then yes you can get pregnant, you can still get pregnant when you are on the pill my friend has had 3 kids and was on the pill every time. Good luck honey!

You should start Pill 1 on Day 1 of your period.

Delaying you period is very common all you need to do is start a new pack when you are suppose to start the sugar pills keep in mind you might get some spotting but that is normal. If you have any other questions check with you gyno.

dont do this you will make your self sick. just have your period. its not worth all the problems you can have from ovulating and not bleeding. you will probably bleed anyway. no you wont get pregnant from this but its a really stupid idea talk to your doctor about this
