dilation come naturally there is nothing you can do to speed that up but to induce labor walk or some people say have sex but walking is your best bet

Well I am not sure if it "really helps it along" but this is what I have done in all three of my pregnancies and this is what I have told my friends. Walk a lot... and I mean a lot. Have sex (unless your water broke or your doctor said no) and I vacuumed. But if the baby really isn't ready then nothing you can do will really help. Good luck to you and an early congrats :)
**** I advise AGAINST the Castro Oil!!!!!! I took it with my last baby... it made me sick and made the baby have a BM inside which made him have to be put on antibiotics once he was born b/c they were worried that he might of had some crap in his lungs. Luckily he is / was OK. Just a tip...

Two table spoons of castro oil,a can of coke,and a chocolate bar. You'll be put into labor. There are people who say this doesn't work but my mid-wife suggested it to me. I went into labor on my own that night though. Also you could have your dr. strip your membranes. Ask about it.

make love with you on top. vigorously clean your house. believe me i know how you feel and it works. and make you feel good. having a really clean house to bring the baby home to.
