Please help! I need to find " why" and " what" insects change color or have certian colors.
Please tell me the sourse if you know it!


Example: Catipilar- bright colors, warning.

There are hundreds.

Butterlies that look like leaves, flys that look like wasps, catapillars that look like twigs - even bird droppings..

Hi. One classic one is the moths in industrialized Britain. The moths lived in birch forests and were white mostly. When the birch trees started to turn brownish gray due to pollution the white moths got eaten, the brownish gray ones less so. The wings of most surviving moths were brownish gray.
