Nope sorry you have to tell her you might have an STD. Does she know your sexually active or is that part of the other reason why you don't want to tell her that you might have an STD? Anyway she'd be a lot madder at you if she took you to the doctor and found out from the doctor that you had an STD and didn't tell her about it before hand.

Why can't you tell her the reason why? I don't know what kind of relationship you have with your mom, but if you are relying on her for things(take me to the doctor), I would assume that it's healthy and you're not being abused, so I'll say this:

Tell your mother! As the parent of 6 teenagers (yes, 6!) I can tell you that there's absolutely no one in this world who cares about you more than your mother. She may get angry, she may feel hurt, but those will only be short term. If you really are sick, she's going to find out - we moms do that. 3 of my children are sexually active - not that I'm proud of that, but it's the truth. And I took each one to the doctor for birth control and tests. Because they are my children and I love them.

One day, hopefully in the distant future, you'll have a better understanding of a mother's love. For now, all I'm suggesting is that you put your trust in the woman who gave birth to you. You may be suprised at the reaction you get.

You should tell your mother. I know you don't want to get in trouble, but the fact that your Mom will know you've been sexually active will help YOU not get in these predicaments anymore. An STD can be a serious issue....it can be a virus or disease that you will now have for the rest of your life. You should fess up, deal with the consequences, get good medical care, and appreciate that your Mom will be on your case because she loves you and only wants the best for you. The fact that you don't want to tell her is indicative that you KNOW having sex at this age is dangerous and wrong. Good Luck.

I wouldn't be afraid to ask my mother, I'd be more afraid if I did have an std and didn't get it taken care of.

Mom probably has a good idea that you are having sex anyway. Let her in on the symptoms and see if she has a clue before high tailing it to the doctor. Could be anything from a yeast infection (which if you haven't had one yet, are very bothersome with it's itching and burning), could be a urinary tract infection, or like you said --- and std!!

Don't be afraid to tell mom. She may not be happy with your decisions but she'd be much happier if you were healthy.

There are a couple ways of not telling her. But the best thing to do is just to tell her. She'll find out either way. I know you may not want to tell her and you would rather want to doctor to. It would be easier and she would want to take you to the doctor to see if you have an std. I think you should tell her.

Honesty is ALWAYS the best policy. Definatly go to the doctor, there may be a free clinic in your area or if you know the doctor, maybe you can call ahead and let them know about your concerns. Tell them you would feel more comfortable talking to the doctor in privacy. When you arrive they can call you back by yourself or they can ask your mother to come back initially then have aseat outside while they examine you. Your mom may or may not figure out something is going on, but if something is wrong she is going ot find out anyways. It is worth a shot, doctors have laws about privacy they have to folow anyways. Either way get checked out, and make sure to use protection even if he tells you he "LOVES" you. Be safe.

You should really be honest with your mum about it because of all people she should support you!! I know how you feel because i have had an std before its scary stuff but if you do it on your own it will ruin you especially if its serious!!! You will find that you need someone to talk to and your mum is the best person! Dont tell your friends because it ends up being written all over the place. I would tell your mum honey be honest with her!!!

It's best to go ahead and fess up, but if u want to keep it to yourself and still get treated.. Make up an excuse to go. Once you get called back tell your mom that you're big enough to handle this alone and it would be better if she waited outside. Pt/Dr confidentiality keeps dr from telling your mom. If you do have an std.. you'll be given antibiotics (most likely) and you can say to mom that u have an infection and let it go at that.

Depending on your age, u should tell your mom. She might find out and if u do, u will need a prescription for it. The best thing to do is be honest with your mom. If u tell one lie then u have to tell another to cover that up and then it snow balls out of control and then u won't know what the truth is anymore.

Even if you can get away with getting into and out of the doctor's office with out tipping her off - whatever prescription you might have to take will probably do it. Either get to a free clinic if you feel you need to keep it a secret or fess up.
