My opion is, HELL FREAKIN YEAH! In the 90's the Bulls without MJ were nothing but a playoff team that never reached the CONFERENCE FINALS. Without MJ their record was 55-27/plus a 2nd round put out in the playoffs. To me that's not proving nothing much. Because last year the Clippers were a 2nd round playoff team, but look at them in this year, they suck. MJ was The Bulls, his importance speaks for itself, without MJ the Bulls were a playoff team that wasn't ever gonna win and got put out in the 2nd round. But with MJ, The Bulls were 6X champions, two 3-peats, accomplished a 72-10 record(best record in history & 17 more wins from 55), & is argubly the greatest dynasty team ever formed. MJ importance wasn't just making the Bulls a championship team that wins once or twice, MJ made that team into a 6 X winning dynasty team( big difference). Anyways, MJ took a bottom playoff team & turned it to a DYNASTY! That's how much better MJ made the Bulls. Without Pippen he's still would of won!

So yes, MJ's effect on the Bulls is greater then Nash's effect on the Suns! Nash haven't even been in the finals yet....and you know why? Because Nash sucks! It's really Marion & Amare who makes that team.

You're smart. Michael Jordan carried all those teams on his shoulders. Michael Jordan didn't have a Shawn Marion and Amare Stoudamire to catch alley oops all game long. He took over the game any time he wanted, whether with scoring, passing or shutting down somebody defensively. Nash plays within the flow of the game, he can't dominate any time he wants and lead his team to a championship. If Steve Nash wins his 3rd straight MVP, I would say that its a crime that Michael Jordan never won 3 straight

Seems like you already answered your question and have your mind made up. Do you get 10 points for giving yourself a "best answer" to your own question?
My question is: who said that Steve Nash was as important as MJ was? I think only people who don't really watch basketball would even think of making that comparison (wasn't talking about you, though....=))
At the same time, at the risk of being a hater, it's tough to say that "Steve Nash sucks." Maybe you don't like him, but look at what he's done the last 3 years (even without a Finals appearance), and maybe you'll change your mind. Watch a Phoenix game, and watch how many points are manufactured simply from Nash's pinpoint passing. Watch also just how many plays are run through Nash. Find another point guard who is a "true" point guard like him, and get back to me (no, Gilbert Arenas is not one of them). Amare helps out Nash alot, but I'll take the risk right now at saying Shawn Marion is overrated. He's an amazing athlete, but gets a lot of his points through Nash's passes and Phoenix's system. His big rebound numbers are also a result of Phoenix's uptempo style. Let's see what happens after he demands a trade....Laugh at me now--I'll remind you when his numbers go down.
In conclusion, MJ is the best, but Steve Nash does not suck. 10 points for you.

MJ was way more important to the Bulls than Nash is to the suns, and like you said Jordan got his team 6 championships and Nash none. And Nash has Marion,Amare,LB,and Raja,he has great players with him.

sounds like you answered your own question. Nash has not even won a title. so far all he has done is helped to make the Suns a better team. he hasn't even taken them to a championship series...so why is everyone making him out to seem like the savior of the NBA? it's one thing to help raise the level of your teammates...but when everyone else stalls and hits the wall, can you take them higher? that's what MJ was to Chicago. he was the turbo boost to pick his team up and get them motivated...he was the ice cube cuz when it came to money time, he was cool always.....he was the dagger cuz he had the killer instinct that you can find in no one (except maybe Kobe Bryant). there was not a time when he couldn't put the team on his back and take them over the hump, and further more he proved that time and again. did you notice that i barely mentioned Nash's name? that's because there's absolutely no comparison. MJ was far more important to his team.

lets also remember that with Jordan, the team was built around him. in Phoenix, the team was already assembled when Nash got there. it was Nash's job to facilitate and runthe offence for all the players there.
with Jordan, they spent years surrounding him with players until in the late 80's they finally had some things clicking.
Jordan is the more important player no doubt. his defensive ability, leadership, clutch performance and intimidation fator push him ahead of Nash. but in saying so, the effect of Nash is also VERY important to the surging Suns.

yes he is important as jordan every team has a star player that team makes sets on him make special plays over him and everybody saw that if nash isn't playing suns is a normal team in nba like kobe for lakers, gasol for grizzlies, garnett for minnesota, redd for milwaukee but ıf your team lots of star players like utah but superstars boozer was out they were winning okur was out for two games they won again and derom williams was out they won again the teams playing styles is very important for the star players but nash is important as jordan for bulls
