Almost everynight I have trouble sleeping becasue of the fear of getting robbed.
When I was six, I was in a house that was being robbed. I dont beleive this is the direct problem. We dont live in a bad neighbourhood, but overall around hasn't been "safe".
Can you calm me down?

well, I can do my best, I have had some experiance with weird phobias (left overs from war, not at all pleasant). what worked for me really was facing my fear- that is, try and walk around the house in complete darkness before you go to bed and check all the locks and windows. daytime: write! take a piece of paper and a pen and write down everything that comes to mind when you say "robbery". go over the list, this is your fear split into sgments... search for the segment that scares you most and try to deal with that one first. go over the list again, and all the segments that seem irrational just cross them out. at the end of the list, write the words "the chance of my house being robbed tonight is very small" and highlight it. so, look at it every time you get scared. it takes some owrk, but I think this is the best way to deal with your fear, it helped me a lot

Take all the steps necessary to make your house safe. The police in most places will come out and do an accessment of your home and tell you what you can do to improve your security in your home. Also, talk to someone. Appparently, you didn't get any counseling after the robbery, so you never had a chance to heal. Stay away from caffeine and make your home as calming as you can. Get a dog or an animal of some sort to keep you company, so that you don't feel all alone and vulnerable.

You are stuck in the emotion of FEAR. Your fear has turned into a sort of phobia about being robbed. In order to process and release the fear you first need to re-experience the first fear.

Emotions are ENERGIES IN MOTION in our bodies.

Every time you don't allow yourself or you aren't allowed to fully experience an emotion, to feel it, and to move through it, the energy of that emotion becomes stopped and blocked in your body. It remains blocked until you go back and re-experience that emotion. Then the energetic block is freed and cleared. Virtually all of our physical ailments come from energetic blocks in our bodies, energetic patterns that are connected to our emotional patterns.

One good way to get rid of past and present fear and phobias is to use EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique) or Emotional Tapping. EFT is an easy way to quickly release old emotions that are keeping you stuck. EFT is easy to learn (you can learn the basics in 15-30 minutes). You can use EFT anytime, anywhere for any emotional or physical issue.

You lock your door and the windows, and you Pray everynight for God to watch over you and keep you safe and eventually, you will not miss being unsafe, cause it will be something from the past better forgotten.

Did you talk about it with your family and friends? If people you are close to can't help you, you may need professional help, some psychological counselling.
Living in fear drains your energy and makes life miserable.
