I never lost a job but my Mom did she was about 50 years old and cried cause they fired her because she has dyslexia with numbers and gave out the wrong amount of change. It didn't really affect us cause my dad is the one that supports the family. but it was very sad and i wanted to cry too.

I have been laid off, downsized, re-orged and fired. However you want to put it, it meant I was out of work.
And, I never cried. A job is a job and there's always another one. I was sad and I knew I would miss my friends from work, but I never cried any tears over A JOB!
How did my life change with no money coming in and bills piling up? It was stressful, but I always got through. The first time when I was laid off (at 20) was the worst. I took a job that paid less and a part-time job to make ends meet.
Unlike some people in America, I do not live for my job. A job is just a job.

Nah, I felt a little apprehensive, but looking back on the whole episode it was the best thing. I progressed on to bigger and better opportunities. I was fired from my first job because I did not learn fast enough. At least that's what they said but in reality I was given too much to do. Attend a switchboard, accept all deliveries which were happening at all times, get mountains of mail ready for post...
I guess you only suffer if you are attached to your job which at that stage I wasn't. It also helps if you are not entirely dependent on a job to survive.

They are people working and living. They are people not working but they live too. You live to work. You don't work to live, otherwise you'll get to the point of being a slave. As long as oxygen is free, you can breath. If you can breath, then you can look for another job, you'll even get a better one may be. So don't you cry, take it positively. They are 7 billion people on earth, they all more or less eat everyday.
Good luck to you...

I have never been fired, But I have left a few jobs, and was happy about it. If you get right back out there, you will find something, probably better.
