Good question, I can't wait to see the answers.
You can add to the list that not only does he not make his team better, he actually makes them worse because his attitude towards himself is so high that no other players with any skill want to be on the same floor as him (Shaq). That is why each year they are getting more free agents that are at the end of their careers, no current stars want any part of that team.
He is basically Allen Iverson, the only difference is that Kobe is a little bigger, but while Iverson is constantly getting torched by both fans and the media, Kobe still sits up on this pedestal that he in no way deserves.

He is a good player. Heck the dude is a great player. What makes him better is that everyone loves to hate him. Possibly no other player gets booed in visiting arenas as much as Kobe. But also he packs the arena with fans. His shoe with NIKE is currently doing well. My personal feeling aside, he is currently one of the best players in the NBA right now. Is he a ball hog? Sure. Does he make his team better? This year the answer is yes. He currently leads his team is scoring, assists and is 2nd on the team in steals per game and free throw percentage. However, due to his constant handling of the ball he also leads the team in turnovers as well. But he is a great player. We all know without SHAQ there's no way he gets 3 Titles in a row. So I'm not basing my opinion on titles won. At the end of the day he is a great player. Due to SHAQ's trade he has had to involve other members of his team more. This season Kobe shown some improvement in team ball but I believe he does need to learn more about team ball.

Alpha Wolf thanks for the Kobe link.

The reason why he is one of the elites in the league is because he is getting the lakers into the playoffs consistently without anyone else on the team! Yes Lamar Odom is a good player, but lamar doesn't fit into the system that Phil Jackson runs so his role is decreased on the lakers....Kobe puts the entire Laker team on his wings! Smush Parker wouldn't start on 75% of the other NBA teams...either would Kwame Brown, Luke Walton, Sascha Vujacic!

No other player can take over a game quite like Kobe. D Wade, and LeBron dont have consistent enough jump shots. Steve Nash is probably the closest, though I am no fan of Kobe he is the best player hands down. Take him out of the mix in LA and their toast. Last year no one thought they would make the playoffs let alone make it tough for the Suns whom they had beat.

well.......bcuz he is. or at least he would be if he had just one guy on his team that was man enough to get his head out the sand. trust me, if you was in his position, you might be the same way. the lakers are a terrible team without him. he requires so much attention from opposing defenses...all his teammates have to do is hit the open shots. they can't even do that.....my goodness!!! same thing happened when AI was in Philly. what do you expect from him? he has tried to raise his assists...but you only get the dish when your boys make the shots...otherwise it's just a pass. so his fg % isn't the highest...is that how you judge a player? his defense is usually good. i would say he's playing very frustrated this year...and he certainly isn't hogging the ball, or else he woulda scored 90 by now. i think we all know by now that he can do it.

Because they are fans of the Lakers or just Bryant is one of their favorite players in the NBA. I wouldn't say that Bryant is one of the best players in the NBA because there is a lot of great players like Lebron James, Allen Iverson, Tim Duncan, Tony Parker, and many more.

Who ever think Kobe is the best are some retarded, naive, morons! Instead of seeing a player for what he is, they want to believe THE HYPE! Kobe Bryant sucks!

If Kobe's a ball hog why is he second among all shooting guards in assists. Shooting Guards shoot the ball, that's why they are called shooting guards.
