Some guy took my select seat so I shoved his butt out the window.

I traveled from Missouri to South Carolina on a charter bus (about a 2 day trip). It was white with black spots (looked like a cow) & across the top of the door it said "please keep the line moooving" lol cheesy I know but it was cute.
I traveled with school so we didn't really sotp much, we stopped at a couple of rest stops. It really sucked when the bus needed gas, as a saftey percation everyone on the bus must get off while the bus is fueling up. It always seemed to need gas around 2 am. and those buses weren't comfy to sleep on. My friend and I switched who got to sleep on the floor. It was more comfy than the chairs. It was fun but at the same time miserable.

All types of people ride the bus. Tell him to make sure to keep his money inside his pocket, and to take only what he needs to use at a time out of his pocket. There will be some really cool people, but remind him, that anyone can be a great person for a few hours. If he has any carrion's , be sure to keep them close, especially if he feels that he might go to sleep.
I have traveled by bus many times in my life and have no complaints, as a matter of fact, sight seeing is great from a bus.

I've taken some long bus trips several years ago.. about 5-6 hours.. Never had any bad experiences. The only problem I ever encountered was sitting next to a chatty person when all I wanted to do was sit in quiet and rest! lol

it is pain, longest i went is 10 hrs for a trip that should take 6 hrs. dude i set beside was aight. he was African immigrant and just talk whole bunch of shite about the people on the bus and stuff we saw out the window. just making jokes the whole time, you know the corny ones that only make sense to the people in the conversations. it was interesting thing to meet someone from another country and have so much in common on a human level. none of experiences were even remotely similar but we still found the same dumb shite funny.

i've got taken some long greyhound bus journeys. From Pittsburgh to Milwaukee (14-16hours) and from Chicago to Pittsburgh (13 hours). And certainly the bus stops at each significant city in between your initiate and the trip spot. Thats why it takes see you later to take the bus. it would be faster tocontinual your automobile and probably only as costly to fly. in case you're making plans on being soft deliver a pillow, something to examine (in case you dont get carsick), and an mp3 participant. Oh, and somethign to snack on. On a 23 hour bus holiday I think of you would be doing slightly snoozing. Its no longer as undesirable as you think of :) in any case, good success!

The longest I have ever traveled by bus is 6 hours. It was a great experience. Everyone is bored, so you start talking. You're swapping email addresses by the end of the trip. I recommend it!

I've travelled cross-country via bus a couple of times. It was hard but interesting, yes.
One person who stands out in my mind is a gentleman who sat down next to me and told me that he knew he wasn't Elvis Presley. I said, "Okay", but he still continued to tell me, repeatedly, for many miles, that he was not Elvis Presley. Finally I said, "Okay, you know you're not Elvis. The only question I have is do you know who you actually are?" He never said another word. So maybe he really didn't know.

I rode a Greyhound from Northern Ontario to Northern B.C...and it was an unpleasant experience to say the least. It took 4 1/2 days, with only one chance for a shower, and that was in a pay shower where I could barely even turn around. In general it sucked, and I wouldn't do it again.

It is weird people on the buses. Remember they can't afford any other way to travel. They put released prisoners on the buses. My ride was many years ago and it was bad. I went from Raleigh, North Carolina to Dayton, Ohio when I was 15 and was given wine, pot and had several men try to get to sit with them or get off the bus with them. The driver didn't care. The planes are better. The stewartesses kept an eye on me. Tell him to keep to himself and trust no one.
