the person who receives a gift..material or non materiel is the only one who can say if it was great or not...i can tell you about the great gifts that i received from other people..will that do?
I'll tell you anyways..lol..
the gift of life and love that i received from my parents...
the gift of knowledge and to an extend understanding that i received from my teachers..not all teachers, but I've been very fortunate to know a few who quite literally changed my whole outlook towards life..they didn't just teach me a particular subject..they taught me how to be myself..and for that I'll be eternally grateful to them...
my best friend who gave me the gift of companionship, and understanding, and love, and just being there, and always listening to my rantings..lol...
the gift of laughter and smiles that i receive constantly from friends and family..some of them live far away..some nearby..but all very close to me.. :)

i dunno if you can call something greatest, everytime i call something greatest, something greater than that introduces itself to me.
gift is something you give when it is least expected and which is a surprise, ain't that called gift. hmmm, so, till now i haven't given anybody either a material or a non-material gift, maybe in the coming years.
