Take care of urself too! U wont b of use to them if u exhaust urself or even just tire urself out too much. Eat rt. Watch out for vending machine, cafeteria or fast food. I gained un-necessary weight doing a very similar thing as this. I know that your loved one would say "go home n don't be here so much" but it is you who wants to be there, which is normal. Read, watch TV n take walks. Every few days stay away just a lil longer, maybe an hr or 2. Let other family fill in for u.
I don't know the condition of ur loved one or I could say more. E/m me if u'd like.
Blessings.

It's a crazy thing, what love can do...

Don't give up. Be there with them. This is a very delicate time and you being there for them is just awesome. I don't know what advice you'd like...how to deal with this? Your spirit will somehow get you through this...and them too.

My daughter was born 3 months early (12 1/2 weeks early) and nearly died. She was in the hospital for 4 months...I spent EVERY moment I could with her. There were days when I just slept in the rocking chair next to her incubater...not leaving the hospital for days and days. I couldn't bear to be away from her. When I look back to that, it amazes me how strong love is...and how much stronger my spirit is and I didn't even realize it. No matter what the outcome was, I wanted to be THERE with HER and I was willing to do ANYTHING to be there. You just do what you gotta do, and somehow your spirit and love gets you through it.

If this is your situation, I hope your spirit only gets stronger with the love and devotion you have. I hope everything goes as smoothly as possible.

That's a really difficult situation. I know, I did the same thing when my father had brain cancer. I just sat in his room, tried to make conversation (although he couldn't speak), held his hand, talked to nurses, watched the news with him and made comments on it, or just read a book. I'd even go out to get my own lunch/dinner and eat with him even though he couldn't lift a finger and the nurses had to help. But I tried to make it as "normal" as possible for him. It was a crazy time, I still don't know to this day how I did it...obviously my father didn't make it, but I tried my best to make his last days pleasant.

Talk to them, stay as positive as you can, bring things to occupy your attention when they're resting or if they're unable to talk.
