Yep....
On my daughter's 15th birthday, my estranged husband called me and asked me to go to lunch with him to discuss our divorce. When I got to the house, he lured me inside and tied me up and raped me vaginally and anally (and NOT with his penis) and tortured me in unspeakable ways. He had dug a hole and when he was through torturing me he was going to kill me and bury me in it. This went on for abouyt 6-1/2 hours. I managed to talk him out of killing me and convinced him that if he'd let me go, I'd never tell a soul what happened. he let me go and I went straight home and called 911.
He was arrested and charged with four felonies, and they found all the evidence in the trunk of his car. He was held on 100,000 bond, and each of the charges he faced carried a sentence of 40 years to life.
When Iw ent to talk to the DA about pressing charges, they told me that even though he was caught with the evidence (he had even videotaped it!) they weren't sure if they could get a conviction because he was claiming that we were "role-playing" and that I had agreed to do that with him for $100. Talk about a slap in the face!
So what does the DA do? They release him from jail WITHOUT TELLING ME. I had to have someone sit vigil over me 24/7 in case he came back to finish the job. I got a restraining order and a gun permit, but we all know those just pieces of paper and don't mean sh!t if someone is intent on killing you.
I ended up selling my house and moving all the way from NC to Texas to get away from him. My first ex-husband (the father of my children) found out what happened and sued me for custody of my younger kids, and won, claiming that their lives were in danger with me. I ended up here in Texas not knowing a soul, with a car full of my stuff and that was it. Was I scared? I can't begin to tell you how scared I was.
To this day, I still look over my shoulder sometimes. I will NEVER feel safe until that monster is dead.
I have made my life here in Texas now, and I love it here. This was what I needed, although it was not the way I would have wanted it to happen.
Thanks for letting me share.....

at the same time as that's common to have an interest by creation - It shouldn't "scare" you - regardless of each thing, that's accomplished - and not something you're able to do will impact it. I take it you're actually not religious - as element of accepting astounding activities -is to settle for, by way of faith, that there is a ideally suited Being (God) - that has been, and IS, on top of problems with the "extra beneficial issues" -like coming up the earth - and different planets/universes. in spite of all of the scientist's theories and suppositions -- no person will ever understand the possible way the earth grew to become into fashioned/how existence began -- till you get it first hand -- from God. till then, concentration your energies on what you're able to do to make "the place you reside" - a extra effective place - your place, your community, your college, your city, your state, your united states of america - your international -- that's all you have impact on ~~~ might God Bless --

Actually yes. Picture it: July 31, 2000, my then husband had just finished beating the crap out of me hoping I'd die when my daughter called 911 and saved my life. He was arrested and we called my father who came to rescue us.
We came from Washington State back home to Texas with only the clothes on our backs and a couple of bags filled with the kids stuffed animals and a few changes of clothes. We had nothing but fifty dollars to my name due to the fact that I never had access to any of the community funds and while he was in jail, his mother called the bank and had the accounts frozen so that the "little Mexican Wh*** wouldn't steal her precious son's money". She had access to the accounts, I was never allowed. He controlled everything.
We came back and we started all over again. I was scared more often than not, I almost went back to him because I was so brainwashed that I almost believed it when he said I would never keep a job, never survive, 'fail' without him. I realized that any of those predictions of his were better than ever going back and living in hell with the Devil Himself.
Now almost seven years later I realize the fear and the worry of it all was worth it. I am so not the same person I was then. I'm now independent and free of that animal, my kids and I have a beautiful life, a strong family and more happiness that we could have ever dreamed of.
Best thing I had ever done for myself and my kids was leaving that guy and facing the fears that I had.

I've started over sometimes before the last try really gets started - you get used to it after awhile and if you do it enough you even get to the point that you know what to do.

Yeah, I seem to start my life over every few years. I like the challenge. I like to put myself into tight situations and see where it takes me.

yes, scarced silly at times, being married for so long, being as one, then it all disappears, its like -what should I do, got people telling you from every side what to do, but just have to listen to your instincts and say a few prayers and hope for the best, my temper shocks me, for I never really thought I had a bad one till the last few years,
