from school-you just stay home and hand out for a given time
from work-you are fired until further notice/with or without pay

Do you mean, suspended from school? Or just plain suspended? Suspension is a form of "temporary hold". Being suspended from school means that, as punishment, you cannot attend school for X number of days. You will not get credit for those days and I believe you will have to make up all of the work that you missed.

Suspended from wut? Skool? Ive Graduated, but when I got suspended I just couldnt go to the skool dance.. like that was a big deal. Ive been kicked out of a store and couldnt go back for a year.
