You also had many individuals who could not make a living at home move to other areas of the nation looking for work, which put a strain on those areas' infrastructure. People today may joke about Okies and Arkies, but back then, it was serious.

With the dry windy conditions of the Great Plains during the Dust Bowl many eastern states were inundated with dust clouds. Rivers that flowed through or started in the region dried up. This caused dry river beds all over the country. Thus transportation via river came to a halt in many places. The food supply was also affected. The grains and other crops typically supplied by the nations bread basket were simply not able to grow so it was difficult to find the basics for foods like bread and cereals.

IT Destroyed crops and farms. Killed most of the food and plantations. The two worst things that happened in this time period was: The Dust Bowl,And The Great deppresion

The prices of crops and meat raised, causing the great depression. Economy declined, people were jobless and had to move, causing mass population in the west especially California.
