Hello~
I am a bit puzzled by your question. There are 2 ways that this can be answered. So I'll start with #1 If this person is just a friend and only a friend then I suggest that you just tell them.. "Jane or Joe I am getting divorced" and leave it at that unless you just want a friend to talk too about the situation. I am like some other users I don't understand what would be the issue in just telling a friend about something that is happening in your life. Divorce isn't something that's easy I'd think nor is it something that a lot of people take lightly.

Now the second way to answer your question is if this is a friend that your involved with such as friend with benefits or something. I suggest that you keep this down until your divorced. There's no need to tell someone like this what's going on so he/she can run tell the world I got him/her now they are getting a divorce. No need for all that drama.

Again as I stated I'm puzzled by your question not enough information as to what sort of friend your concerned with telling.

Sorry to hear about your marital problems and I hope that your making the right choice in your life. It's alway sad to hear about things like this because you often wonder what brought the two individuals together in the first place & what happened to take it all away.

If it comes up don't lie, however if there is no need to address it leave it alone until you are ready to discuss it...........if it does eventually come up then just explain that you just didn't want to get into it.

this is odd. why would it be so hard to tell your friend that your're getting divorced. just tell them. i don't see why it would affect them so much.

tell them. if they are your friends, then wouldn't they know that you are married? just tell them that you are separating.
