Well, there are all these weird rumors about Britney Spears, Lindsey Lohan, Jessica Simpson, and all these other ones. Why aren't there any rumors about Ashley Tisdale, Vanessa Anne Hudgens, or anyone else?

Well....Britney Spears,Lindsey Lohan and Jessica Simpson are a bit more famous,and Ashley tisdale and Vanessa Hudgens are just starting out,and they are only disney channel stars

Probably because the people that know why they are is a fairly small section of the population. These are Disney "celebrities" who only really appeal to those that watch the Disney channel. Their appeal isn't wide enough for the general population to care about what they do.
Edit: Think about the types of careers each group has had. When Britney Spears first came out, she was a huge hit, very popular. Jessica Simpson and Lindsay Lohan are both mainstream actresses, they're in movies that most people will have seen. Ashley Tisdale and Vanessa Hudgens are in Disney movies that people outside the Disney audience don't really see.

Maybe not a lot of people know who they are. Everyone knows who Lindsey Lohan is and magazines will make money off printing rumors about them, but Vanessa Ann--I don't even know who that is.

Because the first three you mentioned are press hounds and have ended up in the position they are in by relentlessly having PR agents promote everything they do.
It's the nature of the beast. First they are no-one, then they are some-one, then they get boring, but since the press are liars and fabricators, they don't want to lose their "cash cows" so they make up anything and everything they can to keep them in the spotlight and eventually destroy them.

umm probably because their famous just not AS famous like lins,brit,jess all those girls are america sweethearts and the press have a field day when you see "oh the princess isn't so innocent" and disney has something to do with it.

Gossip mags show what sells, even if it's fake. Paris Hilton wasn't famous for being famous for years. It took a sex tape to make her famous.
