The purpose of daylight savings time is to have an extra hour of daylight in the evening. The difference then, between standard time and daylight time, is that the clocks are set forward an hour.

The only states that don't do this are Hawaii and Arizona. Indiana only started observing DST in 2006.

Arizona (with the exception of the Navajo Nation) and Hawaii and the territories of Puerto Rico, Virgin Islands, Guam, and American Samoa are the only places in the U.S. that do not observe DST but instead stay on "standard time" all year long

not in florida...or rhode island...or muncie indiana for some reason....now you can add up the daylight that you save and when it equals 24 hours, you can go to your boss and show them how you came up with 24 hours and they give you a free day off of work..(this only lasts till october, so you have to take advantage of it now)
