Narrative is very important. It draws the reader into the story and makes you care. The Great Gatsby is an excellent example. Tom is a great narrator. Hope that helps. C.

Earnest Hemingway was an excellent narrator. He lacked with dialogue as it often became sappy and unrealistic. For Whom The Bell Tolls is an excellent book to get a great example of great narration.
