Try going through a personal rental and not a real estate agent...all real estate companys do a credit check. A personal rental just verifys previous rental payments. What area are you looking in...maybe I can help :)

Assuming you're not going to live with your parents you may need to lower your sights a little there. If you have a bad credit rating you will need to prove to your prospective landlord that you are able to pay the rent each month and wherever you live I can't believe that a 3bed 2bath house is going to be particularly cheap. For you and your daughter surely you could cope with something closer to a 2bed 1bath until you get your credit rating sorted out and the lower rent will help you to clear any debts you may have.

Also have you considered council housing? It won't necessarily be as nice as you'd like but having a child and no house of your own should help you up the list and your credit should be less of an issue as such houses are there for people who have trouble finding other lodgings.

Your bad credit should not affect the sale of your parent's home. What do you want us here at Yahoo to do? If you have bad credit that is your own fault. In addition, you seem to have lofty desires for someone with bad credit. Try cleaning up your act.We are not an apartment finding service, nor can we lend you any money. I notice you seem to be able to afford an Internet Service Provider.

you could do one of two things

admit that your credit is not perfect, but state that you would be willing to pay two/three/whatever u can afford's month rent in advance

orrrrr

you could pretty please with a cherry on top ask your parents or a friend or anyone you know with good credit to rent the apartment for you

im pretty sure there are also apartments that with a security deposit don't necessarily ask for a credit check

good luck

You don't say where you live. Are you near Spokane, Washington?
