Free hosting is ad supported so you will have a few ads on your site. If that's okay with you then I would recommend a free hosting site that lets you use your own domain name if you can afford the $10 a year for the registration. http://www.dakotawebhosting.com gives you free ad supported hosting with a domain registration.

hi, get free domain, hosting, domain emails, web design tools and more with Microsoft's office live programme. i used it to get my own business on the web, and it has given my business a new lease of life!
you can make it as professional as you want without needing any web design knowledge. you have nothing to lose...
http://office.microsoft.com/en-gb/officelive/default.aspx
and once you have it set up add it to relevant online directories, add a free listing on yell.com, put the web address on all your stationary, perhaps set up a competition where people have to register their details on your site - then as well as getting people to your site you also get potential customers' contact details. you can then start an email marketing campaign to keep reminding them about what you offer.
hope this gives you some ideas - and the office live programme is great, try it and you will see.
PS if you want to see what i did with it see my profile for the address, or feel free to email me.
Good luck with your business! x

I suggest Webstarts, It has over 23 unique tools that help you create a proffesional looking site with little to no knowledge of how to build a website. Plus with a free membership you can build up to 5 free websites.

Free Web Hosting

If you have just started learning web design and want to create your first website, it is advisable to use a free web hosting service. You can learn without investing any money and if you build a successful website, you can also earn enough to purchase paid hosting. A free web hosting service is usually supported by advertising and has limited features. Free web hosting companies will either provide a subdomain (yourname.example.com) or a directory (www.example.com/yourname) where you can upload your files. They allow limited web space, bandwidth and do not provide any customer support or uptime guarantee. Many hosts insert their own advertisements. You can check out for a free web hosting at http://www.bravenet.com/?afilid=3717470047 . Paid web hosts will provide space for hosting without any advertisements. iPowerWeb, Inc is my favorite web hosting. You can check out here http://www.anrdoezrs.net/click-2271914-1200208

I think you should consider something, free websites advertise on your space(the space they provide you free).

Why not have a look at http://www.goldwindsolutions.net , you might just get what you are looking for and proffesional too.
