thats mine too!!! i cant stand to hear people chewing their food...even if they are chewing in a polite way and not smacking a chomping....the worst is when my mom drinks coffee...she slurps it and i just want to slap the cup of coffee out of her hands and throw it against the wall....

Stupid and/or inconsiderate and/or dangerous cell phone use.
Seriously, the way people use their cell phones makes me wax nostalgic about the days when, if you were out and about, you needed to either get yourself home or find a pay phone to call someone. I can guarantee that no one else in, say, the waiting room of a doctor's office cares about what skirt goes with the cute belly shirt, or how wasted you were last night, or just about anything else -- yet that's the kind of conversation we've been reduced to having in public. All. The. Time. And while I know the topics discussed must matter to the person doing the actual talking, they are almost always of the variety that clearly fall into the category of "Not Earth Shattering. Can Definitely Wait."
I also can't stand people yapping on their cell phones while driving. Hands-free phone use I can deal with -- studies tell us they're still dangerous, I know, but I could deal with them if people would just stop having vapid conversations that are clearly getting much more of their attention than the heavy traffic on the freeway that they're mindlessly navigating with one hand.
ETA: Before cell phone use, my biggest pet peeve was women who manage to leave a perfect ring of urine on the toilet seats in public bathrooms. I mean, who are these women? I've always pictured them hovering over the seats, petrified beyond words that their butt will touch the porcelain/plastic, and gyrating their hips as if using a hoola-hoop to make absolutely certain that they get everything good and wet for the next person.
