No , today it was discovered they have took the chip out of all ps3's hence only british games and britsh ps3s wil work in ps3s! anyway at £425 i aint holdin out for 1

The PS3 unit itself is not region free.
It contains a regionalised blueray player. This was incorporated so that Blueray movies can not be played on imports or vice versa
The Games on the PS3 are region free so can be played on any console.
You cant play UK PS1 / PS2 games on imported units
