Not all of western civilizations is as ego-centric as that of the USA. Capitalism is all about getting what you can and so people become self-centred. The US didn't invent capitalism but it is the unofficial religion and most certainly is the most successful capitalistic nation. Other places in the western world are more left leaning, which is to say they have a more social ideal. The US equates socialism with communism and communism with evil so you have more homeless than any other nation and even though you are the richest nation you have the most amount of people who can't get decent health care. I'd say the US and narcissism relate.

How bout this . Find deffinition of Narcissism and then research on what is western civilization built . Avoid concentrating on just the US, since we are , believe it or not , NOT the entire western civilization. That would be ethnocentric of you !
