Would rather go to the Theatre, anybody got any tips on getting good tickets at a good price? Any other suggestions of entertainment in London?

The cinema in central London can be really expensive.

The Prince Charles Cinema, which is just off Leicester Square.
Ticket Prices :
Mon-Thu Matinees - £3.50, £1.50 Members
Evening/Weekend - £4.50, £3.00 Members

If you wanna go to the theatre; I don't know if you have heard of The Barbican: http://www.barbican.org.uk/

They really have good prices and there is always loads going on there.

They have a theatre & cinema ( theatre, art, dance, film, education, music etc...)

The best deals on theatre is looking at Fringe theatre. These are typically theatres that operate in the back of pubs. They put on top notch shows! Time Out lists fringe shows every week in their magazine. It is also available on line.

Another great deal is to go to Fringe shows on PWYC (pay what you can nights). I know the Arcola theatre usually has PWYC nights on Monday/Tuesday - again Time Out gives you the details.

Otherwise, the big west end shows have 1/2 price tickets in Leicester square ticket booth. Be sure to go to the big both in the middle of the square and not the little shops. They are not the real 1/2 price booths.
