I am number 1 of my high school's junior class. I am in the Beta Club and plan to hold a leadership position. I am the first chair trumpet of my high school band and am the section leader. I have also been in the All-State Honors Band. I have an unweighted GPA of 4.0 and a weighted of 4.5. I am enrolled in one AP class right now and am taking 3 next year. I made a 710 on my math score in 10th grade and took the SAT last Saturday. I am involved in my church's youth group where we do a lot of community service. What do you think my chances are of getting into Stanford and/or an Ivy League school?

I am also the first seed on my high school's varsity tennis team.

Are you nationally ranked in tennis? If you only have 1 AP class, are you sure the Ivies or Stanford weights the classes the same as your high school?

You sound pretty good, but are still a little on the "average" (for a top school) side. A great essay and letters of rec beyond the standard "S/he's great" will help tip the scale. The All-State Honors band thing is good, but otherwise, try and show how you're special on a state or national level with your other extra currics.

Ivy League schools are basically luck, they are very specific in what they want. I know Yale rejects many people who have a perfect score on their SATs.
Stanford, well they are pretty picky too. My friend with the same credentials as you and more got rejected =/
But dont let them intimidate you, apply to all of them if you can afford all the application fees. You might get lucky :) And always have a back-up plan.
Ivys also look at your first semester senior year grades, so dont slack off and still take challenging courses.

From what I read they sound pretty good. It'll be zero chance if you don't apply. You'll never know unless you apply.

All I have to say is this, you are asking us what your chances are of getting into a good school, well I am going to say you are pretty dumb if you don't know that. So your chances are slim!
