Over my career I've changed jobs on the average every 3-4 years. I'm ready to settle down (really!). What's the best way to convey this to a job interviewer?

"those were all jobs - now, I am looking for a career and I hear good things about your company."

To be honest 3-4 years per job is probably enough in itself to convince the interviewer that you're loyal. The days when people worked one job for one company all their life are gone now and it's expected that someone aiming for success is going to find them self needing to change jobs to advance their career.

Make sure that you can give good reasons for leaving each job and that they don't reflect badly on you - for example you left because there was no chance for further career progression and not because you didn't like the boss and you should be okay.

At the end of the day I've found that the best tactic in interviews is to be honest - it genuinely seems to surprise people! Most interviewer are so used to candidates providing a neatly scripted answer to every question that simple honesty is often enough to make you stand out from the crowd.

it's really not that unusual any more for employees to change jobs frequently. Especially if you are relatively young, changing jobs to gain experience and move along a career path is perfectly acceptable.

The only way to truly convince a company that you are there for the long haul is to get the job and then stay put for a while.

do not bother yourself so much , employers are so stubborn , the best way is to be always indifferent , try to convey one message ( silently ) that you are not afraid of getting out and start a new job!!
