IDK...that's a tough one. I love the round shark room at the Golden Gate Aquarium, but the John G. Shedd Aquarium is awesome too. Chattanooga isn't bad at all and Atlanta is very nice. The National Aquarium in DC was a dissapointment IMO.

Newport Aquarium in Kentucky...right across the river from Cincinnati, Ohio. The Ripley's Aquariums are nice in Myrtle Beach and Gatlinburg (the only two I've been too) but I still choose Newport. The setup is slightly different than most and it has a huge gift shop area that isn't too cramped and is very nice. Overall, it is a really great experience.

In my adventures, I would say either the Monteray Bay aquarium or the Aquarium of the Pacific in Long Beach, California. I might have to update my answer after visiting the aquarium in Atlanta, Georgia in May. ;)

Best aquarium is in Vancouver. It focuses on the great wildlife in coastal BC. Also, they focus a lot on entertaining the kids and the adults at the same time.

I have not been there in a while but the Baltimore Aquarium is great. Charleston Aquarium is also a good one, it is fairly new.

Georgia Aquarium hands down. Although it was outrageously crowded.

Because they are all close and each one has something I like, so it is impossible to have a favorite.

I have even enjoyed a 55,000 gallon aquarium at a nearby Cabela's sporting goods with local fish... and it was FREE!

The one that's in MY LIVINGROOM.
Because I get to visit it EVERY day.
I get to look after all the living things in it.
I get to feed the fish and Corals ...
I know everything in in is HEALTHY and happy.
All my friends and family get to come over and enjoy it with me FOR FREE...

Lisbon Oceanarium in Portugal was AWESOME, it had penguins and sea otters as well as an ENORMOUS manta ray.
