Well...look at your own relationships, with friends, family, and people you've dated in the past if that applies. Check their signs and see who you are compatible. I see that people have a lot of different answers, and a lot of them are Capricorns. I am a Capricorn too, and although they are supposed to get along fabulously dating the earth signs Taurus, Virgo, and their own Capricorn sign, I've found that dating Taurus and Virgo was not such a great experience for me. We had some good qualities but not the best. I have dynamite chemistry with Leos but in relationships they're not dependable enough for me. Good relationships with Sagitarrians but not always on the same page. Get along pretty well with Scorpios but they have too much drama in their lives for my taste. I think I'd do well with a Cancer but I haven't tried it yet. Geminis annoy me to no end and even if I find one that I like I get tired of him easily. I have great friendships with Libras but again, not always on the same page. Everyone has their own opinions, and you have to find what works best for you.

One more piece of advice--think about the elements. Taurus, Virgo, Capricorn are your fellow earth signs and you can generally be pretty good friends with them and not have too many arguments.

Leo, Sagitarrius, and Aries are fire signs, and yes, they are fiery. You will have good chemistry with fire signs but (especially with Aries) you may get impatient with each other, and knock heads occasionally.

Libra, Aquarius, and Gemini are the air signs, the thinkers of the zodiac, and you can have very stimulating conversations with them and a fabulous fun time. But if you want to be emotionally involved with someone on a deeper level, maybe not your best way to go.

Scorpio, Pisces and Cancer are the water signs, and they are the feelers, the very emotional ones. You can have great emotional bonds with these signs but remember when you mix water and earth you get mud, which means it can be confusing at times.

So you have all these choices. I say go and experiment with all of them, and find out which sign You think is the best for you. In the end, only you know.

well that depends...if its just a date then you should be looking for anyone that stirs your attention. But on the hindsight, if you are looking for a stable relationship I went for a Taurus personally.. As a capricorn myself, I've dated scorpios, pisces, virgo/leo, gemini, libra.....but found myself encapsulated with the Taurus.... We're both stubborn headed and have very strong personalities which are bound to lock horns once in awhile but alas, because we're earth signs we tend to have a common understanding and similar temperaments.

On the other side, we both can be exceptionally lovey dovey. Surprising but true. Taurus are natually sensual and passionate lovers who are patient enough to reveal the smouldering passions beneath us Capricorns. We may seem icy and aloof on the surface but it takes a strong and loving partner to help that simering sexuality to explode.
