So I've noticed that the majority of guys seem to dismiss Asian guys automatically (even other Asian gay men). It's as if we are automatic turn-offs bc we're not attractive or something. Do all gay men live up to the stereotype that appearance is everything? It seems that way, and it's really sad. Is there any hope that a well-rounded Asian guy can ever find someone who's well-rounded as well, not a totally ugly perv but not an empty a$$hole either. It seems like the pickings are kinda slim...gay guys seem to be at one extreme or the other. I hate this stereotype running around that all gay Asian men are feminine, queeny bottoms. It's really annoying. I've had one too many bad experiences. How can I become less jaded?

you have extremely low self-confidence. No they are not doomed to be lonely. I would find ways to meet people ; like find an activity which you like and find an organization or group where people have something in common with you. If you feel sorry for yourself all of the time and play the "victim" then you will never get a date.
If people are cruel to you, then it's their problem and not yours.. **** them.
Live your life. It seems you are too caught up in image, and how people perceive you. Find ways to build your esteem up and others will start liking you.

Asians are low on the gay totem poll because they are not portrayed as "the Hot Guy" on TV and in the movies. Gay guys aren't generally attracted to what they really want, but what they think other gay guys really want. There can be no other reason why so many gay men have camouflage cargo pants. Asian men are the new camouflage cargo pants

I know your situation is tough. Ironic as it may seem, it's true that there is a ton of racism and segregation in the gay community. But look at the broader picture outside of where you are - there are huge gay communities in Asian countries too and I'm sure they don't have to deal with those type of issues that come with being a minority in white-dominated society. I mean, c'mon, Asians make up more than 60% of the planet!
As for me personally, I love Asian men! (Ken Watanabe marry me!!!) And in my experience, I've met plenty of nice guys (both Asian and not) who were into GAM or were at least open to them (coz they weren't shallow or racist) so it really depends on where you look (not that it's easy by any stretch).

I'm a black male well mostly black and I think asian guys a sweeet have smooth skin and nice lean bodies im attracted to mostly white and asian males if you met me you would be in luck i love asian guys. But alot of people believe the stereotype that you guys are ARENT endowed so they stay away butttt .... personally size dosent matter as long as your not crazy small like 4 inches lol. You will find someone alot of older gay white males lovvvvvvve asian guys go to yahoo persoanls you will find someone.

No way man, an asian man is a beautiful speciment of youth, and is full of passion. I know through experience. They are very sexual, and love pleasing their mates. I totaly disagree that asian gay men are not hot, they are.

my brother is a gay man and he is going through the exact same thing. although he is not asain he has gained some weight in the last year and feels that no one will be interested in him until he looses the weight. so whats my advice? if you think your attractive and worthwhile than no one will notice your not. its so much easier said than done, but if your pretend to think your gorgeos it really does work. and in the end if you cant find anything other than shallow men; maybe your better off alone.
