They are both fabulous artists. I'd put it like this : Jimi is more popular, Elivs is more influental. In my oppinion, Jimi Hendrix walked gloriosly down the road the Elvis himself paved. He merely biulded apon what Elvis had long ago made popular. Jimi Hendriz was a talented shredder but what about Jimmy Page, Jerry Garcia, and Eric Clapton? They all played the same type of music. The music that Elvis pioneered. If Presly had been a stillborn like his twin brother Jesse, those greats would never have touched a Fender. Your answer is Elvis Presly.

Many people will say Elvis, but I say Jimi. And it's probably because I'm a guitarist, but Jimi changed my life, Elvis had no impact on me whatsoever.

Elvis and Jimi Hedrix are two legends in their own respect. Elvis for his rock and roll style, with a sort of gospel tone, and Jimi for his Heavy Metal, rock n roll sort of style that drew many different crowds of all nationalities, he was also one of the Kings of Woodstock.

Both very legendary in their own differen't ways. I think Elvis had more going for him in being a legendary Superstar. ( he was making movies in Hollywood)
Hendrix was legendary for his guitar and his song writing.
