The quickest way would be if you got a lawyer and he/she filed your divorce with posting the legal notice. After so much time of your ex not responding, the divorce continues without him.
If you can't afford an attorney, then contact your county services office (usually a Clerk of Court office) and they can point in the right direction to get started on your own.

Yeah, no problem. If Texas is a no-fault state, you apply for a divorce and you will have to by some newspaper advertising to try and inform him. When he doesn't show up, the judge will probably just sign and stamp documents and the divorce will be officially over in 30-90 days, depending on Texas law. Make sure you cover ever contigency, such as children and property within the divorce. I filed mine from Alabama and it cost me $300.00 total. Of course the ex couldn't afford to fight it from Florida. Though she did try!

you need to check with your county to find out if you can file for divorce without an attorney. If so, the forms are available on line and there are instructions. You will have to pay the filing fee but it's no where near the cost of an attorney. Try to find your ex's address and at least his town and put a notice in the local paper there as a public notice.

You can handle this divorce on your own. Claim abandonment. You havent seen or heard from him in 3 years. It should be relatively easy....just lots of paperwork.

You can get a fee waiver from the courts to waive your fee on filing. Unfortuately thats all you can do is file and wait.
