Brokaw is a retired NBC TV news anchor. His book The Greatest Generation, about the Americans who went through the Great Depression of the 1930s and World War II, is truly wonderful and inspiring. I know a lot of the Baby Boomers (I'm one of them) like to toot their own horns, but we do not compare as a generation to that of our parents, in this Boomer's opinion.
