I recomend:
Full Moon: a girl who has throat cancer who loves to sing. Then 2 shinagami show up telling her she will die in 1 year. So she wants to become a singer before she dies!
Fruits Basket: a girl who becomes an orphan and then taken in by the sohma family. Not long after she finds out about the sohma curse.
Inuyasha: Kagome is captured by a demon and taken to the warring states era. She meets inuyasha and has the power to tell Inuyasha to "sit."

fruits basket: (some may know it as furuba)- has major romance, some comedy in it. Mostly known for romantic scenes and all that good lovey-dovey cutey stuff.
naruto: has humor, slight romance (hints) but mostly fighting and ninja things (violence with blood)
cardcaptor sakura: cutesy-ish, fun to watch though
bleach: major fighting, I believe it has some hints of romance (my opinion- though), some humor (with bunnies and stuff) but fighting, and spirits and all that good stuff in it.
