If you want something you don't have to think about that'll just give you something to fill your time watch The O.C cause it's great light entertainment. Be aware that it's almost at the end of it's run however so whilst there are lots of episodes to watch they will eventually run out.
If you want a tv show that makes you think a bit and rewards you for doing so then watch Lost it's got so many sub plots that you'll be dying to see the next episode every week and the relationships between characters run much deeper than those in the O.C. However it can however get a little violent/nasty at times so if you're not keen on that sorta stuff you may not enjoy it so much.
Short answer then, if you're a bit of a girly-girl and want something to ooh and ahh at with your mates then go for the OC. If you're a bit more of a tom-boy and fancy something a bit more realistic and gritty that'll make you think then go for Lost . They're both decent programs and worth your time so if you've got a lot of time to spare have the best of both worlds and watch both!

relies upon on the mentality of the female. lost is definitely one of my renowned shows yet may well be too in touch and drawn out for a youthful lady. the oc is probably extra drama and love and all that stuff. i do no longer watch the oc in my opinion even though it sounds as though like all different night time cleansing soap opera.

The OC, by far. Lost is very much in-depth and requires dedication for the show. OC is a lot more about pretty people and glittery backgrounds.

The OC. Lots more sexual tension than Lost.

The O.C. I have never watched lost but it seems so annoying. The O.C. is full of teenage drama and all kinds of stuff a girl your age likes.

I hated the O.C. personally. LOST is full of mysteries and action (if you're into that kinda thing. I am. LOST is my fav show.)
