Thats normal. And a good rate at falling asleep. You must give your body time to wind down and relax. 15-40 minutes isn't bad. By the way any shorter than 15 minutes and i'd classify it as passing out! You don't need to fall asleep that quick, that's not even regular.

I take ambien when I know I'm going to have trouble, like when I'm away from home traveling. The doctor and the pharmacist both recommended that I take the medication at least 45 minutes to an hour before I try to go to sleep. I addition my doctor stressed good sleep hygiene. No reading in bed. No watching T.V. in bed. No Caffeine 5-6 hours before I try to sleep and limit alcohol consumption. Hope this helps. Sweet dreams.

Try listening to soothing noises such as the ocean or piano or something. That has helped me greatly. && Take a hot bath or shower before you go to sleep. Warmth soothes the body and puts you in a mood easier to sleep =]

There isn't much more you could do really. With some people it takes much longer! Just think yourself lucky it only takes you that long. Sleeping tablets don't help my son and sometimes they don't even help me. Try not to use them too much though they can become addictive and your body gets used to them and then they wont work. Be careful

try working out in the morning. it helps you be more awake in the day and if its a good workout you'll be physically tired when it comes time to sleep and fall asleep faster. also warm milk really does help. its kinda weird drinking it the first time but it helped me.

It probably takes them longer than fifteen minutes to work.
Take them thirty minutes before bed.
No caffeine after about 5 PM. It will keep you awake. That would be sodas, coffee, tea, chocolate.
