Be true to yourself and hold tight to your spiritual beliefs and be positive and be the best you can be on all levels. This doesn't mean you have to please everyone at all times because this is impossible thing to accomplish. Not everyone will like you or need a reason to. Therefore, knowning who you are and what kind of individual you want to be is important because no matter what people have to respect you. God blesses everyone with a special gift so get intune with your inner self and people will surely be impress.

well, it depends on the crowd of people you want to impress.
Good hygene is important no matter what. Nice shoes, and if you really don't know your crowd classic attire. Knowledgable on things that interest them, skateboarding, music, books, or whatever.
Remember first impressions are everlasting. Don't be fake.
