Why is it that people can speak out against politics, religions, certain lifestyles, and are not labeled, just considered to "have objections or opinions"... But if you dare speak ANY view, or make ANY comment disagreeing the homosexual lifestyle, you are automatically labeled a "homophobic or gay basher"? Don't people have a right to voice their opinion on that subject? I'm not talking about hateful remarks or barbs regarding it (that's bashing), I'm talking about just simply having an opinion that disagrees with the lifestyle.

Now before you chew me up and spit me out, make sure you read the question carefully. I AM NOT bashing anyone or anything, the question isn't asking what you think about the homosexual lifestyle, it's asking why people are so quickly labeled if they dare to speak an opinion that differs with it.

I don't know. There is a line between objections or opinions. I think that speaking ANY view or ANY comment is kind of wrong. Sometimes they are so harsh that some won't agree with that at all, so we do have to watch what we are saying. Yes they are opinions, but some people need to know that some opinions can hurt people. I do agree with you. If people don't agree with homosexuality, does not necessarily mean they are homophobic because they might not hate that person. There is a fine line between the opinions people say and i definitely agree with you. Opinions can hurt certain people but they have to deal with it and they cannot just bash people for their opinion, it's called dictatorship. You know, i don't have problems with gays or anything but you don't agree with the lifestyle and im okay with it. My bf doesn't agree with it either, but im okay with it and i don't see anything wrong with you thinking that way, it's our opinion.

Have a nice day!

I speak out about gays only if it directly affects me, or someone asks.. While I feel that sexual persuasion is an individual choice, and none of my business, I am opinionated and not at all shy about giving it. Especially if someone asks. My Bible teaches against it, but I'm not the final judge. God is. If someone wants to "label" me because of my opinion, then so be it. It doesn't bother me one way or another.

Anytime I try I always get bashed for my opinion on politics, religion etc. The reason people don't like it when other people are different so by attempting to lower them they'll conform. People are afraid of things they can't understand and if they can't understand you opinion they try and make you take theirs.

Because they have not achieved the same sense of conscious as others. they want to have their ideas expressed over those of others.

If you want tollerance, you must tolerate the views of the intollerable.

I think you have brought up a good point. We should have the right to say what we want.

I know what you mean, and I don't know why. Perhaps it's just hypocrisy...like so many other things.

Great question.
