My family and I were out yesterday afternoon on The Sacramento River on a boat. We sprayed ourselves with OFF but we all pretty much got bitten up. This is the worse I have seen mosquitos and it's only March. I got some Gold Bond for the bites (still itching) and some Odorless garlic pills.

Has anyone tried using garlic pills to ward off mosquitos? Is there any types of foods or supplements to help mosquitos not like me?

Thank You,

Hmmm maybe next time you should Burn some citronella candles which are supposed to ward off bugs..
Even with the OFF spray , they still bit you? Hmm maybe next time you should spray more? Usually the stuff kinda works for me
Eh i know it wasn't much help but it was an effort :)
Usually mosquitos love being around water so i don't think you'll have much of a problem with them as much as you did while sailing

The only kind of OFF that really works is the Deep Woods kind, with 25% DEET in it. There is also stuff you can get that you can spray on your clothes (pre-treat). OFF doesn't work when sprayed on clothes, only on skin. Also every inch of your skin needs to be moistened, the mosquitoes will find parts of your skin that the OFF didn't reach.

I was bitten up like you once. Over 100 on my legs. Pour white or apple cider vinegar on a paper towel and rub it over the whole area. The itch will go away instantly.

I have heard of putting Joy liquid dish soap in a shallow white dish ; they are attracted and die ; Skin so soft oil by Avon and Neem soap are a few other non-pesticide applications for your skin

I'm a scientist and I suggest you pee on yourself. That will keep the mosquitos off you for sure.
