.... is it normal to have back problems, for example stiffness and easy injuries, to your back after having multiple lumbar punctures?

Are there any long lasting effects?

The last one I had was in 2004 (I think) and I had many (literally 100's) between 2000 and 2004 due to treatment for leaukeamia

I think you probably have a very good question on your hands.

Did any of the doctors explain the implications of repeated lumber punctures to you?

I believe that you are more likely to suffer from "problems" with your back due to these procedures you have had to undergo, especially if you didn't get effective care afterwards. I would think that after repeated tests someone may have thought some physio, or at least guidance would be available.

My advice - speak to your GP or your specialist who is treating your condition - and watch their eyebrows rise.......

Yes, It is quite normal after having the procedures you have to have back problems in your condition and if you are able 2
do ANY activity at all I implore that you do stretches in all areas of r body. The insertion of the needle are going through your back & the spinal canel to withdrawl spinal fluid. There is a Centre well known all over the world. it's free & called Ceragem, I strongly believe it would do you amazing results for your pain. It's a 45min massage on a infro-red heating bed with or without rollers going up & down. For you I think just the heat would be great, 30 min on r back & 10 min on r tummy witha largre pad to put on it 6 days a week It, nor the infrored heat can't harm you, the heat is opposite to the sun's which cause Melanoma this is good heat. So would you
look up one near to you & without rollers you'll love it. I do & I'm in Canada, I don't know where you are, of coarse you'd have to get a brochere or tell your Dr. the web-site which is "wwwCERAGEM.com" I really want to help you & if you find

not really a stupid question as you would think a 'cure' would not cause other problems.
unfortunately, they sometimes do.
the back is a very delicate bit of gear, as you know and once a problem has set in, it can be a devil to get rid of.
any big injuries to the back can sometimes never be 'healed', you have to adapt to a lifestyle that does not involve any heavy lifting etc.
a good fitted chair and good mattress on the bed can bring relief from some back problems but realising what causes the pain and avoiding it can be a major help.

It sounds like a reasonable question to me, but perhaps one you should ask your doctor.
