If I have to drive 445.95 miles, and gas is $2.50 a gall. in a car that gets about 17 mpg,with a 22 gallons gas tank....how much am I going to have to spend in gas AND how many fill ups?

Roughly its going to cost you about 55.00 to fill up -
if you car gets 17 miles x 22 gallon tank - your looking at about 374 miles you can make it on 1 tank - of course there are other factors to consider - traffic/wind running a/c
you would have to stop once for an additional 4 gallons to make it the next 75 miles
26 gallons x 2.50 65.00 - so thats if you are going the speed limit and without any other factors - I would plan on 90.00 in gas just in case

you will use 1 full tank of gas for sure. Cost to fill up about $55.00. one tank will get you 374 miles. that leaves 71.95 miles on the second tank of gas. i say you can make it there with 70bucks if no traffic. To be safe take $100.00
