Your sentence must comprise a larger idea, thing, or concept adding on a smaller idea, thing, or concept. Most people confuse comprise with compose.
So a car comprises a tire, but a group of tires are composed of individual tires.
A bowl of cereal comprises corn flakes but corn flakes are composed of smashed fried corn.
"Comprised of" is just wrong altogether
