I just came into the possesion of a fancy mouse and am wondering how much time they are to be given attention to each day without over stimulating them. If given too much attention / being played with for a long time, can the mouse die? How long is a mouse supposed to sleep each day?
I would greatly appreciate some help on my mouse care info.

from experience they need between one to two hours through out the day. some will need more and some will need less. i had one that wanted to be with me all the time and went out for walks and car rides in my pocket without any trouble. don't use a pine or cedar bedding it realeases phenols when urinated on that are toxic to rodents. don't use a wire wheel. they are a danger for broken legs, tails and possibly losing an eye. i would get it a cage mate for when you can't be with it.any other questions you can email me. i used to breed and raise mice.

exactly, just spend the time with him or her and you'll see how much it likes to be handled.
