Hello, one of the cars I use, Honda Accord LX 5th gen 4cyl automatic (140k miles) won't start for some reason. My friend was driving it home from a dentist appointment and a made a stop at Kohl's. After she came out she tried to start the car, but couldn't get it to work. Here's the details:

We take the key and put it in the ignition.
The key will not turn, even with pumping of the brakes.
Shift lock release works if that matters at all.

Please help and I can give any additional information that is needed. Any help is greatly appreciated.

keep it simple--look at your ignition key. If it looks like brass (shiny gold) instead of silver or chrome then the chances are you've worn out your key. The key may also be bent. On that car you can get a honda dealer to make you a new key for about $8.00. Do that first and see what happens. I'd be willing to bet that the key is just worn out from 140k of use.
