I am alomost six months pregnant. When I went to the doctor they told me i was very anemic. I'm at 8. They put me on iron pills. So i am scared if i have problems when i deliver the baby. Has anyone gone thru this?

I was anemic durring my pregnancy, and I jus took iron pills, and my pregnancy, labor and delivery went just fine. Don't worry too much, maybe tell your doctor about your concerns.

I was anemic with my first two and ended up taking 4 iron pills a day. I am now almost 30 weeks and failed the blood test last week and now take 2 iron pills a day. I have never had any complications. Just make sure you do take them as instructed. It can cause you to bleed worse than someone who has a good iron level.

Yes i have. I was when I got preganant with my first. I was high risk allready. But I had the iron pills and it went away. The only problem was constipation ofr me.
With my 2nd i was anemic at 6 months . Again got iron pills. But I drank orange juice and water like crazy. no constipation.
The good thing about prenatal care now is they check things often. So there should be no worries at all with the baby.

anemia is nothing really to worry about as long as you take the iron tablet's the doc gave you

just take your iron and eat right you will be fine. most women at some point or another suffer fron enemia esp in late pregnancy.
