right now the xbox360. I wouldn't buy a PS3 at the moment b/c they are having alot of problems and not many games yet. If you are younger than a Wii would be the best.

Playstation 2. I've had Intellivision, Atari 2600, NES, Sega Gensis, SNES, Playstation, Xbox, Gamecube, and PS2. So as you can see I've had plenty of systems in my days to make the call. Now the Atari was AWESOME when I was a kid. Actually all the systems were pretty good, well the Gamecube wasn't that great but it had it's good points. Anyway the PS2 has a HUGE game library of almost all types of games. Has some great games. Really just the best system for the games, and isn't that what matters? Some will whine oh the Xbox has better graphics. Big deal, who cares? Does any of that matter when the games aren't as good? I don't buy a game system as EYE CANDY. I buy it to PLAY GAMES. Add to that the PS2 let you play DVDs and the Xbox made you get a REMOTE to be able to play them, what was with that?

After owning several systems, i can tell you its all about the Gamecube. Although it's being replaced with the Wii, the games I own for GC have outweighed my other systems. Speaking of which, Nintendo has a history of producing some of the best game series in the world. Not to mention alll the great graphics and system designs and attachments you get from and for it.

Super Nintendo, until another system has games that good.
Of the newer systems... The Wii. It's got innovative control, without sacrificing the ability for devs to make a game that doesn't use the innovation... It's got the Virtual Console with all those older games (Mario Bros, Legend of Zelda, Sonic the Hedgehog, Bonk, Pinball, Altered Beast, ect... & they keep adding more), it's got the Miis, and it's Nintendo so it'll likely last longer.

The original Nintendo Entertainment System, It started everything. It brought us the classics like, Paperboy, Mario, Final Fantasy, and Maniac Mansion. It revived the video game world from crash of 1983(thanks E.T.) You can thank the NES for next-gen systems like the PS3, 360, and Wii.

Pc for Halo Combat Evolved and PS2 all around, word of advice: Don't go for PS3 yet why? Because my friend says that the reason loads of games aren't selling yet is because he doesn't think that the games will stand the Graphics on the system.

I think that PS2 is the best video game system because the graphics are great. The PS2 games, well most of them are not too expensive and you can get them real cheap too depending where you look for it. Whether you look online or in the store.

I would say the PS2 because of Final Fantasy (ya I'm a sucker for it) and I like single player games a lot. Even though there are plenty of other good games for systems(Halo, Resident Evil 4, Rome: Total War) I like the single player rpgs (good ones at least) that you only get with the PS2. I would say PS3 but there aren't many games out for it for me to say thats what I like.

PS2 and N64. They were the crowning achievements of the video game era, and had the best games of all time. If you mean current consoles, the Wii because of its innovation and good games.
