You need to add you xbox 360 to your network. If you have a wireless adapter for it it should work just fine. You will need to configure it just as you did you computers in order for it to get an IP Address from the Router.

Listen, if you really want some concise answers get this book, "Absolute Beginner's Guide to Home Networking", by Mark Edward Soper. This book contains step by step instructions how to set up the xbox and connect to your network. Now, I really don't recommend you setting your xbox up wirelessly as that leaves you with too choppy of streaming media. Wire it up and you will get the best results.

This book is not expensive and it is by far the best I have found out so far. The author outlines everything in easy to understand language and was a huge help when I first started networking.

Good luck and lots of fun with your xbox.

The Xbox 360 can connect to Xbox Live through an optional wireless network adapter on a home network through a wireless router. The Universal Media Remote can be used to control several functions of the console, including the Windows Media Center functions if connected to the network. Various other components for the console exist, such as decorative faceplates to change the physical appears of the console, wired or wireless headsets for communication over Xbox Live, and an Xbox 360 branded webcam called Xbox Live Vision.

I've been told there's no such thing as a wireless modem. You can however set up a wireless router that connects to your modem. I think you need to buy the wifi adapter and plug it into your xbox 360.

you can't just go using any usb wireless adapter on a 360, that would be like trying to hook up something with usb to a mac and use windows software just cuz the mac has a usb port

there are specific usb adapters that will work with your 360, and I beleive they do not require you to manually install any software

whilst employing a under pressure connection, you have the take the cable from the router and hook it spectacular to the 360. as quickly as you hook it up, in the past you turn on the 360, you ought to reset the router. your 360 has a diverse ip handle. so in case you do no longer reset the router, it will function and fail, using fact it will nonetheless be set up for the pc settings. you ought to continuously purchase a community adapter. that way you are able to hook your 360 up and not ought to apply a under pressure connection.
