Very often March 21st I would think. It can vary between the 20th and 21st each year. In the fall, it is either the 21st or 22nd of September. It just depends on that old vernal or autumnal equinox which has to do with the moon and the fullness thereof.

The first day of spring occurs on either March 20 or 21, depending on where you live.

This year, the vernal equinox will occur March 21 at 00:07 Universal Time. If you live in the U.S., this means that Spring will begin precisely at 8:07 PM Eastern Daylight Time on March 20.
