Where's the best place (i.e. shops, offices, etc.) to ask to find employment during the summer for a 16 year old (willing to work during the week)?

And will I be entitled to earn at least minimum wage?

You could try restaurants or bars but you wouldn't be able to serve alcohol just collect glasses and wait on etc. Also there is a different minnimum age for anyone aged 16 to 18 and 18 to 21. Once you're over 21 it's the standard minimum wage.

try working at a removal company or some site work it will be hard graft but u will pick up more than min wages other wise u could try macdonalds.

but if u are looking for fun try lookingat a holiday camp they have loads of jobs ...

just remember at 16 u r only allowed to work a maximum of 30 hours due to the european guidelines...

clothing stores, music stores, restaurants that dont serve alcohol...a lot of places would hire a 16 year old..you just have to have a work permit..well in california you do...and you have to get minimum wage unless you're working under the table and not paying taxes...
